OneTouch Massage Expands into New Office and Warehouse Facilities

Filed under: OneTouch Massage News, Spa Massage News — Tags: — Esther @ 10:45 am

OneTouch Massage LogoThe time has come to move on to bigger and better things! With the rapid growth of the OneTouch Massage brand, we needed to find a larger facility to house our warehouse and office space.

After shopping around for new digs, we decided to expand into a 51,000 square foot facility (about the size of a football field) located just outside the city of Minneapolis. The expanded facilities give us more than enough room to add more of the new massage and spa products that you’ve asked for.

We’re proud to be your preferred source for professional massage and spa products, and we look forward to continuing our relationship with you as we expand our product lines. As always, we welcome your feedback! Don’t hesitate to contact us with suggestions, comments, and requests for new products.

Thanks a bunch!

2009 Massage Therapy Survey Available from AMTA

Filed under: Spa Massage News — Tags: , — Esther @ 10:54 am

AMTA logoThe American Massage Therapy Association has just released the results of their annual consumer survey on the state of massage therapy in the U.S.

Americans now get massage for medical reasons as often as they get massage for relaxation, according to the 2009 AMTA survey. The percentage of consumers who receive massage for medical or health-related reasons is almost equal to the percentage of consumers who receive massage for relaxation. Both are just a touch over 30 percent.

Compared to last year, the number of Americans (ages 35-44) who have talked with their medical provider about massage has grown from 14 percent in 2008 to 25 percent in 2009.

This annual consumer research on massage therapy led by the AMTA helps massage therapists and massage students gauge the direction that the industry is headed. You can view the full report on the AMTA website.

Plymouth, Minnesota, July 14, 2009 — OneTouch Massage has announced the release of the brand new Aspire Series Portable Massage Table with memory foam. According to sales and marketing manager John Ostman, the Aspire is a “true best of class professional table” designed to include the top features in the massage table industry.

a

These features include Canadian maple legs, a full-length piano hinge, and multi-density foam padding. In quest of a massage table that exceeds the industry standard, Ostman says, “We took all those professional features and put them into the table and then added the memory foam top”—a luxury comfort that few massage table manufacturers offer today.

With the needs of professional therapists in mind, OneTouch Massage sought to design and manufacture a massage table that is easy on the environment and durable enough to withstand heavy use over the course of a therapist’s career. OneTouch Massage believes that creating durable products with a long working life means less waste for our world.

The legs and braces of the Aspire Massage Table are constructed with sustainably-farmed maple hardwood, and the ultra-soft upholstery is made from earth-friendly polyurethane material. The multi-layer foam padding includes a high density layer topped with plush memory foam and is available in black or cream colors. The full-length piano hinge ensures a stable frame that will hold firm under the pressures of vigorous massage techniques and larger clients.

At 30 inches wide, this table is the ideal width for most therapists, allowing ergonomic body posture and easy access to the client. A premium carry case, aluminum face cradle, and forward arm rest are included in this massage table package. The Aspire Massage Table also comes with a 5 year warranty.
